The weather in Bibai today is great and seems just like summer. By just looking at the view from the window, I feel like spending a whole day outside.
Today, I would like to introduce a problem on the lead wall (overhanging wall) at the Bibai City Sports Center.
It is a red-taped problem, 5.12a.
This problem was set as the women’s final problem for the “Sport Climbing Competition of National Sports Festival in Hokkaido Block” held the other day.

In this problem, the first half has some crimpy holds here and there, and it also requires some static moves, making it sufficiently difficult just to reach the roof part.
Even after entering the roof part, each move is still difficult. I have not sent this problem yet, and I definitely want to send it before the lead wall extension work begins (construction schedule is TBD, but we can climb at least during August).
This is a very challenging problem worth trying. If you can normally climb 5.11-level problems, why don’t you come to Bibai and try this one?
